Deadlocked Cosby jury resumes deliberations on Friday

The disgraced comedian is now awaiting a final verdict as a 12-person jury deliberates on whether he will be found guilty of three counts of criminal indecent assault against Andrea Constand, who claims she was sexually molested by Cosby in 2004.

The Rev. Andrew F. Kline, a vicar of a historic black church in Norristown who stopped by the courthouse steps Wednesday to check out the scene, said his congregation is "absolutely" talking about the case given Cosby's place in their lives.

After three days and 28 hours of debate, the group had asked to revisit almost every critical piece of evidence from the trial that began almost two weeks ago - ranging from Cosby's 2005 deposition and police statement, in which he denied drugging and molesting the case's central accuser, Andrea Constand, to Constand's own recollections of the 2004 night she said he attacked her.

"It's obviously going to be hard after this many hours of deliberation", former prosecutor Dennis McAndrews, who has been monitoring the trial, said of the chance they reach a verdict.

Jurors worked into the night Thursday after Judge Steven O'Neill told them to try and resolve the impasse.

Jurors had six questions in the first three days of deliberations, but none on Thursday.

Constand, a former director of operations for Temple University's women's basketball team, has leveled the aforementioned charges against Cosby.

Andrea Constand provided three different stories of what she claimed happened to her in 2004 - which struck the jurors. The case has little forensic evidence, and legal experts have said it fits the "he said-she said" dynamic so common to sexual offense cases.

Constand testified last week that Cosby gave her pills that left her woozy, helped her to a couch and then violated her while she was passed out, unable to say no or fight his advances.

The jury's foreman said, in a note to Judge Steven O'Neill, "we can not come to a unanimous consensus on any of the counts".

The sequestered jurors have appeared increasingly exhausted and upset after deliberating late into the night the past three days.

There's also no rule on how many times the judge can send them back to deliberate again, so he may keep pushing them.

But Gloria Allred, a high-profile lawyer who represents more than 30 Cosby accusers, said the jury's note was not vindication for the entertainer.

Bill Cosby's accuser has posted a video of herself shooting hoops in a courthouse hallway as she awaits a verdict in his sexual assault trial.

The meaning of the phrase "without her knowledge" in one of the three counts against him. It will be important to continue to stay tuned in the next few days as more relevant news about this criminal trial is sure to come about, and a verdict could be reached any moment.

Cosby later told police the pills were Benadryl, an over-the-counter cold and allergy medicine.

If the former comedian is convicted, Cosby could face a maximum of thirty years in prison.

He did not take the stand in his sexual assault trial.

According to sources, Bill, 79, couldn't stop smiling at the news.
